Use a conditioner appropriate for the leather type. Test any product in an inconspicuous area first.
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and excessive humidity. Give bags and larger pieces room to keep their shape.
Quality leather often develops character with use. Small marks and color changes can become part of the piece's story.
